Clinical Nurse Consultant Epilepsy & Movement Disorders Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Meg is an experienced Neurosurgery and Neurology Nurse. She has responsibility for the planning the perioperative care of functional neurosurgery clients at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. She has a key role in the education of clinical staff in movement disorders and functional neurosurgery care and is involved in the research of the Surgical NeuroDiscovery Group. She is Chair of the Functional Neurosurgery Team Meeting and provides close liaison between the Movement Disorder Clinic of the Australian Neuromuscular Institute and the functional neurosurgery team. Meg is currently developing the Surgical NeuroDiscovery Group's capacity for the clinical assessment of Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders and is helping to develop pain assessments. Meg is developing skills in programming neuromodulation paradigms for the caudal zona incerta for movement disorders and cortical and deep brain stimulation paradigms for the treatment of neurogenic pain.
